Database[d] Clinical Software

Relational Databases

Clinical impact

  • By collecting educational and behavioral data in such a way that it can be analyzed with a relational database, behavior analysts will have more information at their disposal. This impacts clinical and educational decision making by illuminating data-based, clinically significant relations among behavioral and environmental variables.

  • Educational data, often in the form of discrete trial data, is often collected in such bulk that it is not possible to scrutinize. This is a critical flaw in many discrete trial programs, as the very data that behavior analysis must rest, is not carefully examined. By using our custom software, behavior analysts are able to view charts and tables reflecting a student’s accuracy and fluency.

  • The net result is an efficiently run, effective ABA program.

Making sense of copious amounts of behavioral data can be an overwhelming task. Many behavior analysts, and behavioral schools and programs collect tremendous amounts of data, only to file the papers away in a storage room, never to be seen again!

Boston ABA is developing data harvesting, management and analysis solutions to aid clinicians and teachers in behavior analytic decision making.
